Rick Cox

Senior Pastor

Rick Cox has served in the ministry for 33 years.  He has been a youth minister, a senior minister and a camp director for North Georgia Christian Camp.  Rick and Memrie have been married for 33 years and have four children and several grandchildren.
Rick is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College with a B.S. degree in Christian Ministries.

Joey Norris

Children's Minister

Joey joined the ECC staff in February of 2014. He was born and raised right here in Elberton and Elberton Christian has been his home for nearly 20 years! He is married to Jessica and they have two children: Tybie (15) who loves any and everything music, and Jersie (8) who has one of the biggest imaginations ever!
He is a graduate of Point University and of ECCHS in the class of '05.
He is passionate about bringing the Word to people in new ways and absolutely loves working with children. He believes strongly in a continuous growth with God and that our purpose is to lead the lost to Jesus.
Some of his interests include gaming on the Xbox, playing golf, time with friends, watching sports, watching wrestling with his wife, and just enjoying life in general.

Kathy Montgomery

Office Manager

Kathy has been working at ECC since August 1, 1996. Kathy and her husband Harvey moved to Elberton from Camden, Alabama in the summer of 1984 for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he transferred to Richard Russell Powerhouse as a Control Room Operator.  Harvey is now retired from the Corps of Engineers.
Kathy & Harvey both grew up in north Florida (Chattahoochee & Grand Ridge). They have 2 sons, Ernie who is in Law School and wife Marcia.  Bryan who is in the U.S. Navy. Kathy is also very involved in the Senior Saints ministry and the 55+ group, Soul Journers.  Kathy is active in the community with the Elberton Doers Group and the Pilot Club of Elberton.


Jan Eavenson


Jan has been working at ECC since February 2004. She is a native of Elberton. She and her husband Ronnie have 2 children, Kevin and his wife Beth with their son, Will; and Kelley and her husband Scottie with two children, Brendon and Addison.  Jan is in the Adult Choir and plays Clavinova in the ECC praise band.
